From the Nest to the Sanctuary:

Your Silver Creek Family Church Guide

We know that visiting a new church can bring a mix of excitement and uncertainty—for kids, adults, and everyone in between. This visual guide was created to help you feel more prepared and at ease before stepping through our doors. You'll get a gentle, step-by-step look at what to expect—from parking and check-in, to worship, classrooms, and quiet spaces. Whether you're coming with children or arriving on your own, this story reflects our heart: to make sure every person feels seen, supported, and welcomed into the beauty of God, church, and community. We're so glad you're here.

We are almost there!

When we drive into the parking lot at Silver Creek Family Church in Lynnwood, we know we are almost there! It’s an exciting day. We might notice lots of cars and happy people walking to church.

We choose Virtual Check In

If we want, we can be dropped off right at the front door! This helps keep us safe and makes getting inside easier. Friendly helpers will be there to greet us with smiles.

We choose Walk up Check-in

When we walk inside, we will go to the Check-In Kiosk for child care.

In Person Check In

We will be greeted by a very nice person who will place a sticker on my adult and a sticker on me. I can even have it on my back if that's better for me. The sticker has our name on it so everyone knows who we are and where we belong.  The volunteers will help us check in for "The Nest," which is our special sensory room.

The Nest

If we like quieter spaces, we can spend time in The Nest, our cozy sensory room. The Nest has soft lights, comfy seating, and lots of calming activities.

The Sanctuary

If we like music and being part of a big group, we can join the main worship service with our family. It’s okay if we wear headphones, bring a fidget, or take breaks!

Coffee

Make sure to come with a few minutes before service  and purchase your coffee to enjoy before the worship service.

It's almost time to go!

After worship time is over, parents will come back to pick us up from "The Nest" or wherever we are. We might feel excited, happy, or even a little tired, and that's okay!

We say goodbye

As we get ready to leave, people will say kind goodbyes. We might hear “Thanks for coming!” or “See you next week!” Some friends might wave or give high-fives if we want them to.
